The Scandinavian Society of Forest Economics (SFFE) meeting will be held on 20-22 May 2025 in Oslo, Norway. The bienneial meeting is organized by the Faculty of Environmental Sciences and Natural Resources Management, Norwegian University of Life Sciences with a theme: Understanding the Balance Between Climate Actions and Biodiversity. The meeting will address climate change mitigation and adaptation while simultaneously mitigating the biodiversity crisis. Aim and scope
The aim of our society’s international meeting is to present research, exchange ideas and promote collaboration among, researchers in forest economics-related issues. The society covers a wide range of topics, including:
- Business Economics of Forestry & Forest Management and Planning
- Forest Policy
- Forest Industry & Forest Products Markets
- International Forestry
Call for abstracts
We invite abstracts for presentations. The abstract should be maximum 300 words long, and preferable in PDF. Accepted abstracts will appear in the proceedings of the meeting.

Conference fee
The fee covers all meals, and in-conference field trip: about 3500 NOK (≈ 300 €). Rooms should be booked by the participants. You
will find detailed information about this when you register for the conference.
We will offer financial support to Ph.D. students and young researchers presenting papers thanks to the financial support by SNS & ForBioeconomy.
The best Ph.D. student paper presentation will be awarded a prize.
