Our Special Issue on Forest Policy and Economics on “Innovation governance” is now finalized, with a total collection of 14 articles. The editors include some of the leading scholars in innovation research in the forest sector and through our networks we have been able to attract a highly interesting cross-section of current innovation research in our field from different parts of the world. We hope this Special Issue, our literature review and conceptual article will become a standard reference on current innovation research in forestry/the forests sector and particularly on innovation governance.

Forest Policy and Economics is a leading scientific journal that publishes peer-reviewed policy and economics research relating to
forests, forested landscapes, forest-related industries, and other forest-relevant land uses. It also welcomes contributions from other
social sciences and humanities perspectives that make clear theoretical, conceptual and methodological contributions to the existing
state-of-the-art literature on forests and related land use systems.
